doomSeason

mutation · in the family Season

What it does

Permanently retire a season — a time-bounded product grouping.

Doom (terminal) a Season by id; requires the unrestricted capability + the record's CURRENT revision. Deny-by-default + the referential_integrity / authority / occ guards; a doomed Season is immutable + never deleted. The optional reason rides the transition events.

Careful

Doom is forever — a doomed record never comes back into use (its history remains readable). Anything still referencing it live will block the doom.

Returns

Season Season! — A season — a merchandising-calendar building block; an INSTANCE, not a recurring pattern. Master data ONLY: the merchandising lifecycle (planning → buying → selling → clearance) belongs to future process constructs that reference it — the optional selling window is reporting data, never an FSM trigger. Per-org enablement (OrgSeason) arrives; Product↔Season references at the spine.
