Every field optional, at least ONE required; supplied fields REPLACE, omitted fields are preserved (no clearing semantic). deviceType and the parent LF are IMMUTABLE at birth; registerId moves ONLY via pairDeviceToRegister/unpairDevice (an evented operational act, never a field edit); status moves ONLY via the transition ops.
