# EditCharacteristicInput

input type

Edit-input for a Characteristic. Every field optional, at least ONE required; supplied fields REPLACE, omitted fields are preserved (no clearing semantic yet). valueType is NOT editable (immutable at birth, CH-c); a supplied grammar/unit is validated against the STORED valueType on the merged record (VALIDATION/INVALID otherwise — the merged-edit precedent).
