# Till session

The `TillSession` family — 6 operations.

A till session is one register shift — the drawer story from opening float through the closing count. The register opens, suspends and closes it; the back office reads it here: the expected cash, what was counted, and the over-or-short difference the close reconciled.

## Operations

| Operation | Kind | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [beginCloseTillSession](/reference/till-session/beginCloseTillSession/) | mutation | Start closing a till — freeze the drawer for the closing count. |
| [forceCloseTillSession](/reference/till-session/forceCloseTillSession/) | mutation | Force-close a till that cannot close normally (a crashed register, an abandoned shift). |
| [resumeTillSession](/reference/till-session/resumeTillSession/) | mutation | Resume a suspended till session. |
| [suspendTillSession](/reference/till-session/suspendTillSession/) | mutation | Suspend a till session — pause the drawer without closing it. |
| [tillSession](/reference/till-session/tillSession/) | query | Look up one record — a till session — one drawer’s working shift, opened and closed with counts. |
| [tillSessions](/reference/till-session/tillSessions/) | query | The till session list — each entry is a till session — one drawer’s working shift, opened and closed with counts. |
