# Refund

The `Refund` family — 2 operations.

A refund is money returned to the original card against a payment. A refund is born by a return’s original-tender refund and settled by the processor — never created here; the back office reads the amount, the currency, the processor reference and any failure reason, and follows it to the payment, the order and the return.
