# deactivateOrgManufacturer

mutation · in the family [Org manufacturer](/reference/org-manufacturer/)

## What it does

Deactivate your organization’s enablement of a shared manufacturer — it stops being usable but keeps its history and can be reactivated.

Deactivate a OrgManufacturer by id; requires the unrestricted capability + the record's CURRENT revision. Deny-by-default + the referential_integrity / authority / occ guards. The optional reason rides the transition events.

## Who may call it

Capability area: **Catalog editing** — Changing what you sell — the details of styles, products, variants and their identifiers.

- Owner
- Manager
- Associate Manager
- An API key whose scope allows `api:deactivateOrgManufacturer`

## Arguments

| Name | Type | Required | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `id` | [ID](/types/#scalars) `ID!` | yes | The id of the record. |
| `revision` | [ID](/types/#scalars) `ID!` | yes | The revision id you read on the record; the change is refused if an edit landed in the meantime. |
| `reason` | [String](/types/#scalars) | no | No further notes. |

## Returns

[OrgManufacturer](/types/OrgManufacturer/) `OrgManufacturer!` — An OrgManufacturer selection — the per-org ENABLEMENT of a group Manufacturer: selection strictly required before any org reference, including purchase lines (the gate). Parent = the ORGANIZATION (not the family root). Freely deactivatable/doomable; a NON-doomed selection blocks the master Manufacturer doom only.
