# Debit note

The `DebitNote` family — 3 operations.

A debit note is the increasing correction to an invoice — the undercharge twin of the credit note. It raises what remains due, line by line, always says why, and has no ceiling; settlement makes it final.

## Operations

| Operation | Kind | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [debitNote](/reference/debit-note/debitNote/) | query | Look up one record — a debit note — a formal “you owe us” financial document. |
| [debitNotes](/reference/debit-note/debitNotes/) | query | The debit note list — each entry is a debit note — a formal “you owe us” financial document. |
| [voidDebitNote](/reference/debit-note/voidDebitNote/) | mutation | Void a debit note — a formal “you owe us” financial document — cancel it as if it should not have happened, keeping the paper trail. |
