# Count

The `Count` family — 3 operations.

A stock count reconciles what the books say against what the shelves actually hold, at one location. Starting it freezes the lines and hides the expected figures — the counter works blind; captures record what was physically found, line by line; posting moves the books by exactly the differences. A recount is a new linked count; cancelling is the no-posting exit.
