# Appointment

The `Appointment` family — 7 operations.

An appointment is a customer booking at one of your locations — a service visit (an alteration, a fitting) or an order pickup — holding one to eight resources for a window. Confirming reserves the slots; a confirmed customer who never arrives is marked a no-show automatically once its grace window passes.

## Operations

| Operation | Kind | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [appointment](/reference/appointment/appointment/) | query | Look up one appointment — its purpose, window, resources, customer and lifecycle state. |
| [appointments](/reference/appointment/appointments/) | query | List your appointments — cancelled/no-show/rescheduled drop from the listing; completed history stays. |
| [cancelAppointment](/reference/appointment/cancelAppointment/) | mutation | Cancel an appointment before it starts — the slot frees for other bookings. |
| [confirmAppointment](/reference/appointment/confirmAppointment/) | mutation | Confirm a requested appointment — the capacity check runs and the slot is reserved on every booked resource. |
| [createAppointment](/reference/appointment/createAppointment/) | mutation | Request an appointment — a service booking (names the service product) or an order pickup (names the order), against one or more resources at a location. |
| [startAppointment](/reference/appointment/startAppointment/) | mutation | Start a confirmed appointment — the service or pickup is underway; the no-show clock disarms. |
| [updateAppointment](/reference/appointment/updateAppointment/) | mutation | Edit an appointment — everything while requested; only the name, customer and order link once confirmed. |
